It is our honor and pleasure to announce that two new board members recently joined The Retired Professional Fire Fighters Cancer Fund, Inc.,  Dr. Jan Kletter M.D.,F.A.C.S., M.S. and Kathy J. Whitehead  RN, FNP - BC. On behalf of the entire board we welcome these two outstanding professionals who bring years of experience and talent to our board. We all look forward to working with them as we continue our mission to support cancer research.

Dr. Jan Cary Kletter M.D., F.A.C.S., M.S. :  Dr Kletter is an attending clinical surgeon at West Virginia University Hospitals - East, Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Ransom, West Virginia. He is an Assistant Professor of surgery, West Virginia University Hospitals, Morgantown, West Virginia and a clinical faculty member of West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, Lewisburg, West Virginia. Dr Kletter achieved his M.D. in 1981 from the University of Medicine & Denistry of New Jersey in Newark, N.J. He also obtained a masters degree in health administration in 1999 from Kings College - McGowan School of Business, Wilkes Barre, PA.  We anticipate that Dr. Kletter will periodically be contributing clinical information to this website.

Kathy J. Whitehead RN, FNP - BC:  Kathy Whitehead is a certified family nurse practitioner specializing  in oncology and hematology. Kathy currently works at Community General Hospital in Syracuse, N.Y. She manages the care of oncology patients, which includes chemotherapy treatment and hospice coordination. Kathy completed her diploma  in nursing and family nurse practitioner programs in Syracuse, N.Y. Kathy's husband, Bob, is a member of I.A.F.F. Local 280 and a Captain in the Syracuse, N.Y. Fire Department.
