Welcome

Thank you for visiting,

The Retired Professional Fire Fighters Cancer Fund Inc. is a non profit 501(C)3 organization committed to raising funds for cancer research programs. We focus on those cancers where there is a higher than normal incidence among Fire Fighters. Although we focus on “Fire Fighter Cancers”, the entire general population will benefit from our efforts because as we all know cancer does not discriminate.

Our fund raising efforts are focused on forming partnerships with active Fire Fighter Unions, retired Fire Fighter Organizations, union organizations, trade organizations, businesses, individuals, and other groups and  organizations willing to support our efforts in eradicating this horrible disease.

Funding will be allocated to those established programs that show the most promise in accomplishing our goals. A review of all potentially funded programs will be conducted by an impartial board of medical professionals.

The Asbestos and Mesothelioma Center

Updated On: Mar 31, 2008 (09:20:00)

It is indeed my pleasure to add to our "links" www.asbestos.com

As you probably know, mesothelioma is a deadly cancer caused by exposure to asbestos. When inhaled, asbestos fibers become lodged in the lining of the lungs where scar tissue later developes into cancerous tumors.

The Asbestos and Mesothelioma Center is widely regarded as the web's leading resource for this horrible cancer. I encouage those looking for information pertaining to asbestos and  mesothelioma to visit their web site .

                                                                        Sincerely,

                                                                  Bill Newland, Chairman

New York State Professional Fire Fighters Association Convention

Updated On: Jul 20, 2007 (09:11:00)

We recently exhibited at the New York State Professional Fire Fighters Association annual convention held at the Rye Town Hilton in Rye, N.Y. Many of the convention delegates stopped by to applaud our efforts to raise funds for cancer research. A number of Local representatives inquired and are eager to expand their support for cancer research through various means back in their home towns. To all who stopped by our exhibit "THANK YOU". Thank you for your interest in supporting our mission and thank you for your financial support at the convention. Working together, we can make a difference by supporting cancer research programs which focus on those cancer where Fire Fighters have a higher than normal occurance when compared to the general population. Through our efforts all of mankind will utimately benefit, because as we all know cancer does not discriminate.

I encourage all Union Organizations to consider supporting our efforts through a direct contribution, fund raiser, payroll deduction program or whatever method works successfully in your community. We are more than happy to work directly with you and your organization. When planning your efforts don't forget the retirees, most are more than happy to be asked to "get involved".

Questions, comments and suggestions are always welcomed. Email us at www.letsfirecancer@aol.com
